The NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home course is a comprehensive program designed to introduce students to the essential concepts of defensive shooting and home security. The curriculum moves beyond basic marksmanship to focus on the specialized skills and mindset required for protecting oneself and others within a residential setting. Participants explore the fundamentals of defensive accuracy, the importance of situational awareness, and the psychological preparation necessary for managing a firearm in a high-stress, dynamic environment. In addition to technical shooting techniques, the program provides an overview of the legal and ethical considerations surrounding the use of a firearm for self-defense. Students learn about creating a home emergency plan, identifying safe rooms, and the tactical considerations of navigating a home under duress. The instruction is designed to help shooters transition from a recreational mindset to a defensive one, emphasizing quick decision-making and responsible firearm management. This course satisfies the training requirements to receive a Utah CCW Non-resident Permit. You do not need to have a California permit to apply. Get more bang for your buck by adding the Utah CCW to your list of licenses.
Pistol Marksmanship Workshop
Students will participate in pistol marksmanship training to learn and reinforce how to properly hold, aim, and fire a pistol. All experience levels are welcomed at this workshop.
This curriculum is designed to take students and familiarize them with the use of the AR15 platform. This course will teach students the basic operation and manipulations required to begin firing the AR15 platform effectively. This course is not a Long Range rifle marksmanship course.
